What's on the menu for Creative Lunch Today?

With Halloween just around the corner, I was thinking about masks, and costumes and this inspired me to write about being real and genuine, and how it effects our creativity.

Being genuine will build healthy relationships with people who admire or at least appreciate someone really being genuine with them. These relationships are critical to our success as creative people. You are free to express your likes and dislikes and best of all you don't have to spend a lot of time maintaining your "front" allowing you to use that energy more productively.

Creativity is a way of being, seeing, acting and doing, not just making art. When you are not real and genuine you are isolating yourself from others. Creating in isolation means you lose out in two ways. First, no-one gets to enjoy, appreciate and be inspired by your "real" work. Second, you miss out on the incomparable feeling of knowing that just a few words of genuine encouragement or a sharing of struggles has lead to someone else having a breakthrough in their own creativity and happiness.
Behind every story of long lasting success is a genuine, real person.

Until Our Next Creative Lunch
Be Real... Be Creative...
